The Little Prince (2015)

Last week, I introduced an animation film from Japan. This week, I’m going to talk about a universally famous animation “The Little Prince (2015)” from French. I’d like to specifically emphasize on the 2015 version, for this one is differed from the other ones. It tells the story more objectively and more creatively at the same time. In my opinion, It really brings out something that deep rooted in my mind.

“The Little Prince (2015)” was directed by Mark Osborne, ranked 7.8 on IMDb. Unlike the original story which was told by an old aviator, its main character was a little girl who accidentally moved to the house beside the old aviator’s house. The movie created an imaginary world where everything had to be in order, while the old aviator is the only thing that didn’t. The little girl, who is about to enter an elite school and obey the social order like the other grown-ups, found the old aviator and his story interesting and thus developed a new aspect of growing up.

Here’s a sentence that quote from the film. “It is only with heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye.” I think such simple but encouraging saying is the very reason that made the book and the movie so popular to the entire world.
