Whiplash (2014)

     Today, I’m going to talk about a very special movie that it really surprised me when I first watched it. The movie is “Whiplash”, which is published in 2014, directed by Damien Chazelle.

     “There are no two words in the English language more harmful than “good job”.” Fletcher, who conducted the best jazz band in Shaffer, deeply believed in that. He pushed his students beyond their limitation by extreme ways. 

     Andrew, who is a young drummer, gets the admission into Fletcher’s band and thus experience his “special” ways of teaching. Since Andrew has long been hoped to become one of the greats, the more Fletcher tortures him, he works harder and harder. However, the result between the two main characters is very complicated and it truly surprised me when I first saw the movie. I just left the story here so that you can enjoy the last 15 minutes of the film very much. Hope the movie will inspire you just like it inspired me.
